We stand, without apology, for the defense of the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ as proclaimed in the Word of God. Our intentions are summarized in the following statements:
OUR CHURCH:
A local body of Christ, established on the authority of God's Word, in fellowship with all who love the Lord Jesus Christ
OUR THEME:
Jesus Christ - crucified for our sins, raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, exalted over all things, God Incarnate, blessed forevermore
OUR OBJECT:
The Salvation of the lost and the discipleship of believers
OUR HOPE:
The physical return of our Lord Jesus Christ
OUR MISSION:
Witnessing to our world
The Calvary Memorial Church had its beginning in the early 1900's in a small chapel on Lindermann Avenue. In the Fall of 1915, a series of evangelistic meetings led to the formation of the congregation, then known as the Gospel Tabernacle.
From the outset, the church has been an independent, non-denominational church, consistently emphasizing the sufficiency of the Bible as the Word of God; the need for believers in Jesus Christ to grow in their faith; to fellowship and worship together; and to share the Gospel with others.
